Mental health affects us all, and resources for it are lacking in every community. In order to normalize those struggling with their mental health, we need to recognize that mental health wellness is part of healthcare. Access to mental health services is a fundamental human right.
We must provide our community with more mental healthcare resources, especially for our children and adolescents. Strengthening funding and innovative services to address the mental health needs of our community members is crucial. We need a robust approach to community mental health that includes preventative services, crisis services, and ongoing support.
